Aurora Tin – Founder
Aurora Tin is a Zero Waster, Author, Columnist and Feature Journalist.
She started her Zero Trash Project on 1st January 2016, finding alternatives for every trash in her daily life. After practicing Zero Waste Lifestyle for nearly 2 years, the amount of trash that she and her husband have produced can be fit into a 500ml glass jar, and the weigh is less than 100g.
In the same year, she founded Zero Waste Malaysia together with Sue Yee Khor. They organised Zero Waste events together with a group of passionate volunteers, also attended public talks/panel discussions/exhibition to boast the growth of Zero Waste Movement. Zero Waste Malaysia has launched first of its kind Zero Waste Map this year and currently has more than 5000 members.
On this amazing journey, Aurora also writes weekly column for major media in Singapore and Malaysia, sharing her stories that are full of tears and laughs. She is also a speaker of TEDx Petaling Street 2016.
Sue Yee Khor – Co-Founder
She was so into TED talk presented by Lauren Singer about zero waste lifestyle.
Started her less waste journey when she was working based in Beijing few years ago. She joins as an ambassador at Be Zero to learn more about sustainable living as being part of the solution.
She then connected with Aurora and started the movement together in Malaysia. She’s an enthusiastic permaculture designer as well.
